Law enforcement is currently making an effort to enforce seat belt laws in Kansas with the Click it or Ticket campaign through June 2nd.
Saline County Sheriff’s Captain Brian Shea says since Monday, deputies have put in more than 26 hours of overtime looking for seat belt violations.
Deputies have written 104 tickets since Monday.
Seat belt violations are a $10 fine, but if it is a child safety seat issue, the fine is more, plus there is court cost.
