One Serious Injury In Car Truck Collision

On Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. the Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle accident on U24, westbound at the 340.1 milepost, 3 miles West of St. Marys, KS.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1992 Oldsmobile crossed the centerline striking a 2000 Freightliner semi-truck on its 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th axles.

The Highway Patrol reported the 19 year old driver of the Oldsmobile was disabled and was not wearing a seatbelt. The 36 year old driver of the semi-truck and an 11 year old passenger were not injured in the collision, and both were wearing their seatbelts.

Names are being withheld at this time pending notification of the family.
