The Saline County Commission appointed an interim County Appraiser to replace Rod Broberg who retired after 27 years in office last week. Sheryl Sammons who has been employed the past 21 years in the Saline County Appraisers Office will become the interim Appraiser July 1st until a replacement is named. Sammons currently is the Commercial Appraiser in the office.

Commissioners also approved the vacation of a portion of Eff Creek road in northwest Saline County that effectively has not been used for traffic with the construction of I-70 in 1964.

Commissioners also gave approval for fireworks display permits for the Salina County Club on July 4th and the Meier family at 3711 N. Ohio on July 6th.

The Commission also received an update from Community Corrections.
