It’s never a good time to drink alcohol and drive, but if you choose to drink and drive, Friday evening and early Saturday morning there is a good chance that you could be arrested for DUI.

Lt. Russ Lamer with the Salina Police Department says between 11:30pm Friday and 2:30am Saturday there will be a least two DUI checklanes in Salina, in areas that have not been determined.

Overtime for the officers conducting the checklane is paid with fund from the Impaired Drivers Deterrent Program grant.
