At approximately 3 pm, at the corner of S Penn Ave and Smoky Hill Dr., there was a brush fire along the Smoky Hill River. The fire that started just North of Oakdale Park only lasted a few minutes. Fire Crews responded and quickly put out the fire.

There is no information at this time as to what was the cause of the fire. Also, no injuries were reported.
