It was a tale of two halves for the Brown Mackie Lions on Saturday when they faced NW Kansas Tech. In the first half, the Lions were able to shred the net with long distance shooting. The Lions were 10 of 14 from behind the arc, led by Ahasuerus McDonald who was 5 of 6 from 3 point land in the first half. In the second half, defense led the way for the Lions. BMC forced the Mavericks into 19 turnovers.

McDonald ended the night with 30 points, leading Brown Mackie to a 96-91 victory. It was the first time this season the Lions were held under 100 points. Rico Spikes helped McDonald with 18 points, Bryan Hooker-Harris added 10. Brown Mackie (5-1) will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Penn Valley CC at 7:00 pm.
