ing31120vet_ffffffClayton Andrew Ingermanson, age 86, passed away Nov. 20, 2013 at his home in Salina, KS. He was born Oct. 23, 1927 to George W. and Esther (Olinger) Ingermanson in Salina, KS.

Clayton grew up around the Salina and Solomon area. Shortly after graduating high school, Clayton joined the U.S. Navy. He was then united in marriage to Albina Billinger for 64 years. For over 30 years he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Local 101. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family; especially his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the VFW Post 1432 and the American Legion Post 62.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Esther and one brother, Wilfred (Willie).

He will be greatly missed by his wife Albina, of the home; sons Terry and wife Linda of Solomon, Daryl and wife Carol of McPherson, Mark and wife Cheryl of Salina; daughter Gale Burger and husband Paul of Salina; brother Gary and wife Nena of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 25, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Salina. Inurnment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorials were chosen for St. Mary’s Catholic Church or VFW Post 1432 and are in care of Ryan’s Mortuary 137 N. 8th Salina KS, 67401.
