Pok Sul Davis, 64, of Salina, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 22, 2013. She was born May 23, 1949, in Samchok City, Kangwon-do, South Korea.

She is survived by her husband, Gus Davis Jr.; daughters, Leslie (Joseph) Seabrooks, of Lee’s Summit, Mo, and Andrea (Warren) Hodge and Jackie Davis, both of Richmond, Texas. Her legacy also lives on through her belovedgrandchildren, Allyna, Mikayla, Chance, Joe Tre and Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hak Sik Hong, and mother, Pok Tong Chang. She has a surviving father-in-law, Auguster Davis Sr., of Junction City; and her brother and sister in South Korea.

Pok Sul worked at Tony’s Pizza for more than 30 years. She enjoyed time with family and friends, as well as belly and hula dancing.

Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, with family present from 6-7 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.Cremation will follow visitation. Carol Hinkle, 72, of Salina, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013. She was born the daughter of George and Irene (Barnes) Hill, on April 11, 1941, in Herington.

She graduated from Herington High School in the class of 1959. She married Thomas Hinkle on Sept. 11, 1960. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Carol was an active member of Belmont Boulevard Christian Church, where she served in many leadership roles including being a current elder and organizing chicken noodle dinners to raise money for the automatic doors. She was an organizing member of the God’s Crafters, a member of the Saline County Fair Board, EHU, a 4-H leader and a volunteer at the senior center.

Survivors include: her son, Scott Hinkle of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Kimberly Hinkle, of Salina; sister, Pat Coup and husband Dan, of Hope; two grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at Belmont Boulevard Christian Church, 2508 Belmont Blvd., Salina. There will be a visitation from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, with the family receiving friends from 5-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Belmont Boulevard Christian Church, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina.
