Marijuana found during check of theft of electrical service

912 GypsumA check on a report of theft of electricity service from Westar, leads to the discovery of marijuana being sold from a home in central Salina.

Around 10:30a.m. November 27th a police officer went to 912 Gypsum to check on a theft of service to a home that was not metered with Westar.

The officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana and contacted the I-135/I-70 Drug Task Force, who found several baggies of high grade marijuana inside the home.

Arrested on drug charges were Joshua Wright, Maximo Guzman, and Maria Cortez. Guzman and Cortez were also charged with child endangerment because three children ages 4, 9, and 10 were living at the home and drugs were being used.
