Effective January 1, 2014, disposal fees at the City of Salina Municipal Solid Waste Landfill Facility will change per Resolution No 13-7033. There will be a $10.00 minimum per vehicle fee for loads up to 660 lbs. For tonnage above 660 lbs, the fee will be $30.50 per ton.

The reason for the change is to better align our facility with other similar landfills. The change would also result in fewer small loads which cause backups at the gate, less traffic congestion at the dumping locations, improved safety concerns, and improved efficiency of staff time.
