SOUND OFF
1. The county commissioners just continue to embarrass the community. Usually when assuming another entity, such as the Health Department, you also assume their debts and liabilities, such as, the liability they have to their employees vacation, sick leave. If the County had done their due diligence they would have known that and they wouldn’t have been surprised at the cost.
2. In a photo at Mandela’s funeral, President Obama is shaking hands with the communist Cuban leader Raul Castro, and, once again, it appears either our president has extremely bad posture or he’s bowing over to shake the Communist leader’s hands. I think he’s bowing as he’s done before many, many other heads of state. Just shameful. The president of the United States should bow to no foreign leader.
3. I can’t even believe I’m going to say this- Good job Speaker Boehner! I can’t stand your politics but your willingness to stand up for your guy, Paul Ryan, against the right-wing special interest groups is refreshing! It’s too bad you had to learn the hard way that if you keep reptiles (The Heritage Club) as pets, sooner or later you’ll get bit!
4. I did read the whole Salina journal editorial, and if you had read my whole comment you would see the last sentence stated that there were better ways to save the auto companies (and those jobs) that would not have involved the taxpayer.
