Dorothy Marie Nolind, 95, Marysville, died Friday December 27, 2013 at Community Memorial Hosptial. She born at home in Saline County on April 7, 1918. Dorothy was the daughter of Bert and Austa Smith. She lived nearly all her life in the Tescott area. On May 17, 1942 she was united in marriage to Howard C. Nolind at her home in Tescott.
They lived 51 years in Tescott where she raised four children, Stanley Duane, Lurana Jean, Myron Dale and Gary Alan. She worked for the Tescott Cheese Company, Tescott school lunchroom and as a homemaker.
In 1993 they moved to Minneapolis, Ks. She moved to Marysville, Ks in 2008.
She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Tescott.
Survivors include sons, Stanley and his wife Sandy of Mound City, Myron and his wife Theresa of Marysville, Gary and his wife Brenda of Boise, ID, daughter Lurana Berg of Los Angeles, CA.; also 15 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard, two sister Grace Eads and Leola Cash and brother Harry Smith.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday at the Tescott United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. Thursday at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis.
