A 29-year-old man reports to police he was beaten and robbed early New Year’s Morning while walking home.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said the victim was walking in the 900 block of Vassar around 1:20a.m. , when he was hit and kicked, and stabbed at least once in the stomach area by 3-white males and a black male walking in the opposite direction.

He fell to the ground and was knocked out and had his coat and $20 in cash taken.

He walked to his home and called police, who then called EMS and the man was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of cuts and bruises, and a small cut near his stomach.

He was treated and released.
