Over the last six years, the USD 306 Board of Education has engaged the students, staff and community in a dialogue about the needs of the district through strategic planning. The needs that could be addressed without capital improvements have been achieved. Architects from Howard and Hellmer were engaged last summer to design a concept plan for renovations and additions to our school. The Capital Improvement Steering Committee and Advisory group have met and arrived at a recommendation for the district.

The plan will be reviewed and discussed at community meetings on the following dates and locations in each region of the district to hear feedback from the patrons:

Sunday, 1/12/14 2:30 pm Assaria City Building, 315 E. Main St.
Sunday, 1/19/14 2:30 pm Kipp Firehouse
Sunday, 2/2/14 2:30 pm Gypsum Community Room, Maple St.

For a comprehensive tour of the building before the community meetings, meet in the foyer on the north side of the school on one of the following dates:
Wednesday, 1/8/14 1 p.m. and/or 5 p.m.
Wednesday, 1/15/14 1 p.m. and/or 5 p.m.
Monday, 1/20/14 1 p.m.

The Board will be deciding how to proceed at the regularly scheduled board meeting on February 10, 2014 at 6:30 pm in the District Office at 5056 E. K4 Hwy, Gypsum, KS.
