vet_ffffff69b145b4-148c-437e-8616-a6fafa27b836Dennis E Carlson, 83, passed away January 19 at Salina Regional Hospital.

Born in Salina to Egan and Elvina (Falk) Carlson on July 27, 1930, Dennis graduated from Salina High School and attended Bethany College. He was a farmer in Saline county until his retirement in 1989. Dennis served as a Saline County Commissioner for 12 years and served on numerous boards in the Salina and Lindsborg areas. He was a proud Navy veteran and a 50+ year American Legion member.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Clark, and son Bruce.

Survivors include son Scott Carlson, of Lawrence, Kansas; daughter Kim (Kevin) Attleson, of Shawnee, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Sue, of Lindsborg, Kansas; sister, Doris Tolle, of Richardson, Texas. He adored his nephews, grand kids, and great grand kids.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 25 at Bethany Lutheran church, Lindsborg. Private family inurnment will follow.

Michelle Lynn Knight, 59, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Thursday, January 16th.

Michelle was born in Salina, Kansas on July 5, 1954, daughter of Barbara J. (Marshall) Knight and the late Bobby M. Knight.

Survivors include her mother, Barbara Knight of Salina, Kansas; Brothers, Mark Knight, of Lawrence, Kansas, Kelly Knight, of Salina, Kansas, James Knight and wife Tinita, of Olathe, Kansas; 5 nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Erin, Tyler, Natalie, Noah.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Danny Knight and her father, Bobby M. Knight

At the family’s request there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.

Inurnment will take place at Gypsum Hill Cemetery Salina, Kansas.
