A 2-year-old girl has died after an older-model television fell on her in a Salina apartment.

The child was playing near the television Tuesday afternoon at the Chapel Ridge Apartments when she was hurt. She was taken to Salina Regional Health Center where she was pronounced dead.

Police said two adults were in the apartment at the time of the accident.

The Salina Police Department did confirm the death is under investigation.
