America: The Non-Thinking Nation – Salina Post Archive

We appear to be a nation of non thinkers, when it comes to what is good and not good for our lives. According to talk radio and the federal government, we are either low information voters, controlled by the lies of the government and verified by the main stream media, or, according to the government, we are just uneducated when it comes to what is good for us, our family, and our nation. As a result, over the past few decades, citizens have become wards of the government; businesses and education have been stymied by laws and controls; and the constitution has become irrelevant.

It now appears, Americans have accepted ideas and policies they would have rioted against in the past. Politicians have lost all sense of conscious when it comes to serving the public. The will and desire of the citizens takes a back seat to the will and desires of the political party, and worse, the citizenry does nothing about it, thereby giving a stamp of approval to laws and policies that violate the law of the land: the constitution.

It comes down to this: Are you a thinking American, or do you accept the words and deeds of the government because they know what is best for you?
