More than 1250 customers of Westar Energy were without power early Wednesday morning, after several power poles went down along Old Mill Road south of Lindsborg.

Gina Penzig with Westar said the company is not sure what caused to poles to fall, or whether the outage might have been related to the strong winds of around 60-miles-per-hour that moved through the area Sunday evening causing power outages. The power went out just before 7a.m. knocking out power in portions of western Saline County and northern McPherson County.

As of 10:30a.m. most power was back on in Saline County.

Penzig said power was expected to be fully restored by late Wednesday morning.
