SculptureTour Salina will announce the 2013 People’s Choice Award on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the lobby of the Smoky Hill Museum.

The People’s Choice Award is determined by viewers who toured nearly thirty sculptures placed throughout downtown and completed a ballot to select their favorite. The winning sculpture is purchased by the City of Salina and placed where it can be enjoyed by the public. The second and third place People’s Choice entries are also recognized with cash awards.

“The 2013 People’s Choice award-winner represents an opportunity for some really great cooperation between SculptureTour, the City of Salina, Salina Downtown, Inc. and other area organizations. I’m excited to reveal the People’s Choice winner as well as to announce the unique collaboration that will enhance its installation,” said Mike Hoppock, STS co-chair. “Now that SculptureTour has completed its third year – and looks forward to launching its fourth year – we are beginning to realize the synergies that this program can generate.”

Previous People’s Choice Award-winners include Watch Dog (2011) and Sweet Kisses (2012).
