carmen-montoy-obituaryCarmen Montoy, 80, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Monday, March 3rd, at Salina Presbyterian Manor.

Carmen was born in Deerfield, Kansas on October 20, 1933, daughter of the late Norberta (Baeza) and Fortunato Bonilla.

Carmen was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild, Lulac, and the Red Hat Society.

She was the widow of Oswald Montoy.

Survivors include her daughters, Monica Maynes, of Norman, Oklahoma, Mary Magee, of Salina, and Sophie Frain, of Lenexa, Kansas; sons, Reuben Montoy, of Salina, Kansas; Marc Montoy, of Eagan, Minnesota; John Montoy, of Salina, Kansas; brothers, William, Fortino, Fortunato Jr., Rodrigo, Santos, and John Bonilla, all of Salina and Bobby Datanker of Colorado; as well as 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Oswald Montoy, daughter, Tina Montoy, brothers Antonio Bonilla, Albert Bonilla and Bidal Bonilla.

Cremation has been chosen. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral. Inurnment will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Salina, 730 Holly Lane, Salina, Kansas 67401; or to Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral, 118 N. 9th, Salina, Kansas 67401.

Daniel F. Marshall, 50, of Salina, died Saturday, March 1, 2014. He was born Oct. 14, 1963, in Huntington County, Ind. He was married to Shannah Morton on Dec. 31, 2006. He was preceded in death by his father, DeWayne George Marshall.

Daniel was a member of the Central City Street Rods. Survivors include his wife, Shannah, of Salina; daughters, Jayme Marshall-Wright and husband Jeremy, of Dallas, Stacy Bragaw and husband Matt, of Austin, Texas, Tonya Robertson and husband Bobby, of Abilene, and Braelynn Marshall, of Salina; sons, Eric Perry and wife Desere and David Perry and wife Kym, both of Salina; parents, Jane Rupright, of Salina, and John Rupright and wife Sherry, of Salina; brothers, Cullen Marshall and wife Chris and Gabe Rupright and wife Stacey, both of Salina; and 14 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
