A 23-year-old Salina woman already in jail on aggravated battery and drug charges, is now facing several charges of forgery and theft.

Christine Rice is alleged to have taken personal checks from the home of Steven Jacobs, and cashed them at several locations in Salina between November 1st and January 6th. The amount of the checks totaled $6,600. Rice and Jacobs are acquaintances.

Rice was arrested about a month ago after being involved in a disturbance where she allegedly hit a 29-year-old man with a revolver and a propane tank, and she threatened to kill the man. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were also recovered from Rice at the time.
