A Salina teen has been referred to court on requested charges of aggravated battery after shooting a friend in the eye with a plastic b-b from an airsoft gun.
Captain Chris Trocheck of the Salina Police Department said a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old friend were playing around inside a south Salina home between 5-5:45p.m Tuesday afternoon, when the gun was discharged and struck the 15-year-old in the eye.
The teen was taken by a parent to the hospital and that is when police were notified. It did not appear the injury would have any long lasting affect on the sight of the teen.
