A rural Salina man was arrested twice over the weekend for DUI. Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said deputies were sent to 4700 block of W. Pleasant Hill Road about 8:30pm after a woman called authorities about a domestic issue.
The woman said 62-year-old Robert Brown had come home and told her that he had shot out a window in his truck while driving.
The woman left the home after contacting authorities.
When deputies arrived at the home, Brown would not answer the door and had shut off the lights to the home.
Deputies waited down the road and a short time later Brown drove past the deputies, and he would not stop after they turned their emergency lights on. There was a brief chase before Brown stopped in the 2300 block of N. Halstead Road.
Brown was booked into the Saline County Jail about 10:30pm on charges that included DUI, fleeing and eluding, criminal use of a weapon and damage to property.
After being released from jail about 4:30am Sunday, someone gave Brown a ride back to his truck, and just before 6:00am a deputy stopped the truck again near the Old 81 and I-70 interchange and Brown was arrested again for DUI.
