Teen arrested while trying to sell items taken in burglary

Salina PD ShieldA Salina teen is arrested Monday while selling items to a downtown business that he allegedly took in a home burglary.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said 17-year old Anthony Darby went through an unsecured back door of a home in the 1000 block of E. Ash around 11:00am Monday.

Once inside he took a 32-inch flat screen TV, X-Box game system and controllers, and a game.

Three people who were upstairs in the home noticed a car in the driveway and when they discovered the items missing they called police.

Darby was found at The Arena127 N. Santa Fe trying to sell the game system and game. The TV was found out in Darby’s car.

Darby will face requested charges of aggravated burglary, theft, theft by deception, and obstruction.
