Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) 24 Hour Run Challenge to remember fallen service members

military affairs councilThe 284th Air Support Operations Squadron and community partners will participate in the Tactical Air Control Party 24-hour run challenge to remember fallen service members and raise funds for the TACP Association.

The event will take place at Smoky Hill Air National Guard Range, Salina Kan. from 12 p.m. March 27 to 12 p.m. March 28.
At least one 284th ASOS member will begin running, and subsequent unit members will alternate for the entire 24-hour period. Last year, there were 20 worldwide teams and 1,000 runners that ran more than 5,000 total miles, and raised $50,000. Total miles were limited to one unit member per time block.

This year there are more than 31 worldwide teams and 2,000 TACP runners. This year, all miles for each time block, both military and civilian, will count towards the total mileage.

The 284th Air Support Operations Squadron is part of the 184th Intelligence Wing of Wichita, Kansas Air National Guard.
