A small fire started on Holmes Rd from a pile of ashes this afternoon at approximately 1:30 pm.

The rural fire department responded quickly to help with the fire.

There have been a few fires in and around Saline county lately due to the very dry conditions.

No injuries were reported in regards to this fire.
