The Salina Post has had people inquiring about all the smoke that is in town. Aside from a small grass fire at Lakewood this afternoon there were no other fires in town today.

We contacted Fire Marshall, Roger Williams, and inquired about the smoke. He stated we are getting smoke from fires that are currently in the Flint Hills in Marion County.

We are in no danger from the fires but the smoke is being brought up by the moderate winds.
