Sue (Schmidt) Drake, 46, Olathe, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at her home. She was born February 22, 1968 in Allentown, PA to Richard and Sandra (Thomas) Schmidt.Sue was a 1986 graduate of Minneapolis High School. She was united in marriage with Larry Drake on July 29, 1989 in Delphos. Sue worked at Best Buyfor 25 years. She was an avid sports fan, including the Denver Broncos and the Indy 500. Sue loved to takecruises and she and Larry loved to ride motorcycles.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband Larry of Olathe; her brother Russell Schmidt and his wife Jo Ann of Salina; and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 19 at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in the Delphos Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M Friday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The family encourages you to wear your favorite sports attire to the visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice, American Cancer Society or Caring Bridge and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Avenue, Minneapolis, KS 67467.

Norlan Winters, 74, of Salina, died peacefully Tuesday, April 15, 2014. He was born April 17, 1939, in Glasco to Ray and Maude Winters. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Dorlan Winters; and other family members.Norlan is survived by his wife, Margaret (Poague) Winters; sons, Dennis Winters and Joe Alford; daughters, Cindy (Jeff) Swanson and Tamra Freilinger; grandchildren, Nicole and Zachery Swanson andTiffany Smith, all of Salina; and sister, Sharon (Weldon) Zenger, of Manhattan; along with several nieces and nephews.
Norlan worked for the Saline County Highway Department for 29 years as a foreman and a heavy-equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and working on plastic models. Norlan served in the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard. Norlan was a devoted husband, wonderful father and loving grandfather.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 18, with family receiving friends from 5-7, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or Alzheimer’s Association and sent in care of the mortuary.
