Salina Police are wanting to let the public know that there are rumors going around about guns and ammunition have been found at a Salina High School are not true.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said that students at Salina Central have been texting parents that guns and ammo were found in the school, and parents have in turn been calling the police.

Sweeney said they are just rumors and there has been nothing found at the school.

If there is a need to relay information to the public, it will be done by the Salina School District or by the Salina Police Department.
