The clerks of four businesses in Salina cited Saturday afternoon for selling alcohol to minors.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said deputies and agents from the Alcohol Beverage Control office of the Kansas Department of Revenue checked 14 locations that sell alcohol. Two males and two females under the age of 21 would try to buy beer, and they were successful at four locations.

Kochanowski said at each location where they were able to buy beer, the clerks did check the ID’s. The following people were cited for selling alcohol to a minor:

53-year-old Shovhanben Modi at Pump Mart 1118 N. 9th.

55-year-old Albert Shank at All Star Lanes 624 S. Broadway.

23-year-old Marc Porras at Chili’s 2235 S. 9th.

61-year-old Marcia Lemman at Walmart 2900 S. 9th.
