Kyu Ok Kim, 93, of Salina, Kanas, passed away Monday, April 21st, at Smoky Hill Rehabilitation Center, Salina, Kansas.
Kyu was born in Gaysung, Korea on July 17, 1920, daughter of the late In Sik Cha.
She was a member of Korean Hope Baptist Church in Salina, Kansas.
Survivors include three daughters, Connie Smith, of Biloxi, Mississippi; Susie Berry, of Salina, Kansas; Yong Cha Choi, of Dublin, California. a son,Yong Hang Kim, of Salina, Kansas; her grand daughters, Rina Selman, Deda Chai, and Ria Moss; grandson, Tom Berry.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26th, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph Kim officiating. Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery Salina, Kansas.

Carl Robert Burns, 62, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Sunday, April 20th, at his residence.
Carl was born in Imperial, Nebraska on October 22, 1951, son of the late Eva (Dixon) and John Burns.
He owned Burns Trucking.
On April 6, 1980, Carl married Sonja Miller in Las Vegas.
Survivors include his wife, Sonja of the home; 2 daughters, Cathie and Kellie; several grandchildren; Sisters, Betty Burk-Cunningham of Florida, Violet Barker of Florida, Charlene Hinkson of Nevada.
He is preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Kim; brother, Jimmy Burns.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 8:30 am – service time at Carlson – Geisendorf Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 24th at the funeral home with Rev. John Schnelle officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jeffery Allen Groom, 48, of Bennington, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 19th, at his residence.
Jeffery was born in Quinter, Kansas on March 21, 1966, to Trisha (Wilson) and Daryl Groom.
Survivors include his parents, brother; Tim, husband of Amy Groom, of Wellington, Kansas; sister, Cathy Rush, and her partner A.J. Ward, of Hays, Kansas; as well as by several uncles, cousins, and two nephews.
Cremation has been chosen and services are not planned at this time.

Shirley Ann Taylor, 81, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, April 18th, at Lindsborg Community Hospital.
Shirley was born in Kansas City, Missouri on July 14, 1932, daughter of the late Chalace Ulala (Rand) and Francis Oakley Baker.
She worked as an assistant at SERSCEP.
She is also survived by 2 daughters and 1 son; numerous grandchildren; good friend, Kay Doris; and the Adkins family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Taylor and her beloved cat, Sweetie.
No services are planned at this time as cremation has taken place.
