Electronics, guns, and jewelry taken in home burglary

BurglaryElectronics, guns, and jewelry taken in a residential burglary about five miles west of Salina Tuesday afternoon.

Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said that Grant Warhurst arrived at his home in the 6700 block of State Street around 5:30p.m. to find the garage door up, and a door leading to his house open.

Taken in the burglary was a 60-inch flat screen TV, 42-inch flat screen TV, a blu-ray DVD player, a Wii game console and games, a computer, three gold rings, a 1992 Salina Central class ring, a Benelli 12-gauge shotgun, and a Winchester lever-action .22 rifle with a wooden stock.

The burglary occurred between 12:35p.m. and 5:30p.m.

Loss is estimated at $5,310.
