A playground argument Tuesday evening leads to a boy being charged with aggravated assault, and criminal threats.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said officers were dispatched to the playground at Coronado Elementary School at 518 E. Neal around 6:30p.m. after an 11-year-old boy had threatened four other children with a butterfly knife, and also said he was going to get a gun from home.

Sweeney said the argument began when the four youngsters began to mess with the boy’s bike.

The boy had his mug shot taken and was fingerprinted before being turned over to the custody of his parents.
