Former Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein is reportedly heading to Canada. According to reports from NBC Sports, Klein has signed a two-year deal with the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes.

Klein led K-State to a Big XII Championship in 2012 and was also a Heisman Trophy Finalist. However, the NFL had no room for Klein at the quarterback position. The Colorado native spent some time in camp with the Houston Texans but did not make the 90-man roster.

Klein has been unwilling to try any position other than quarterback, but this CFL deal will give him the opportunity to play quarterback in a professional setting.

Klein will join former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson who signed with the Alouettes last week.
