On May 5, 2014 the Salina Police Department received information that two people, Adam Humphrey, 29, and Heather Davis, 25, were currently at 619 N. 13th. Humphrey and Davis were wanted for several warrants and reported to be armed and dangerous.
Officers arrived at the residence at approximately 1201 and surrounded it. Two people exited, however, Humphrey and Davis refused. The Salina Police Department SWAT team arrived and the public address system was used to order them out. After several hours of using the PA system had failed, the SWAT team introduced tear gas into the residence.
At approximately 3:52, Davis came out the front door and surrendered to the police. At approximately 4:11, Humphrey was taken into custody near the back entrance.
Humphrey had Saline county warrants for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony interference with a law enforcement officer and felony battery of a law enforcement officer. He has warrants from Sedgwick county for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and theft.
The Salina Police Department is also requesting charges of felony flee and elude and felony obstruction for May 2, 2014 incident where Humphrey traveled speeds of up to 70 mph on Cloud Street in an attempt to evade arrest for the warrants.
Davis had Saline county warrants for failing to appear for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and felony obstruction. She also has an additional warrant in Ellis county for failure to appear on unlawful possession of Amphetamine.
A search warrant is being requested for the residence of 619 N. 13th; additional charges are pending at the conclusion of today’s investigation.
