Donald Dean Kind, 64, of Salina, died Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Salina Regional Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1949, in Wichita to Harold and Marcelene (Giddings) Kind.

Don was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriner, Scottish Rites, Kansas Motor Carrier Association and loved going to antique car shows.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, of the home, Sharon, of Salina; daughters, Diana (Micol) Tice, of Wichita, Christina (Patrick) Normandin, of Salina, and Stacy (Bradley) Chaney, of Woodbridge Va.; grandchildren, Matthew Tice, Meagan Tice, Logan Wilson and Joseph “Joey” Wilson; sisters, Vickey (Kenneth) Francis, of Overland Park, and Suzanne (David) Roe, of Basehor. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Salina, with Pastor Loran Forbes officiating. There will be no visitation.

The burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kechi Cemetery in Kechi.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital or American Cancer Society, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
