Salina Fire Marshal Roger Williams said Thursday morning, that a house fire in north Salina Wednesday afternoon is still under investigation.

Firefighters were sent to N.13th and W. Woodland around 2:15pm to the report of a house fire. The fire began in furniture that was sitting the the yard, and a strong south wind pushed the fire toward the house setting it on fire.

Williams said a damage estimate for house and contents would be around $35,000.
