And now, as the warmer months begin to settle in, the Troon-managed property is welcoming back many of its members and their guests by hosting a Summer Kick-Off Celebration complete with live music, sumptuous food, cool drinks and games of skill on the golf course.
Established in 1911, Salina Country Club has been the area’s most highly-recognizable landmark. The Summer Kick-Off Celebration will be held on Thursday, May 22 at 6pm and will also feature a culinary experience with delectable creations from the Club’s kitchen, live music with the “Soul Preachers” and Dru Davis on acoustic guitar at Johnny’s Place, located inside the Clubhouse overlooking the #1 tee. There is no charge for members to attend while guests are welcome at $24 per person.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to grab their clubs and test their skills out on the golf course. A closet-to-the-pin contest will be held on the 18th green while a “Putt for Cash” competition will take place on Salina’s practice putting green. And, similar to the “Big Break” show on The Golf Channel, the golf staff will erect mirror targets on the 1st hole for participants to hit and earn great prizes.
