Hundreds of bicyclists will descend on Salina on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 for the annual Midwest Masters Cycling Team (MMCT) Salina Two-Day event.

The Saturday road race begins at Salina Vortex, 1725 Vortex Avenue. Starting at 9:00 a.m., bicyclists in nine different classifications will compete in a 60-mile road race west and north of Salina.

The Sunday criterium race will be held in historic downtown Salina. Your chance to see bike racing up close, a criterium race is a short, fast race usually held on city streets that have been closed to motor vehicle traffic. The starting time will also be at 9:00 a.m. and the starting point will be at the corner of Santa Fe and Ash Streets. Spectators are welcome to enjoy the action all day.

Please note that blocks of Santa Fe will be blocked off from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
