Tim Rogers, A.A.E, Salina Airport Authority executive director leads a tour of consultants and members of the Kansas Department of Commerce through the airport’s Hangar 600, May 14.

The group toured available facilities and green sites in the Salina area and at the Salina Airport to familiarize themselves with the advantages Salina can offer new and expanding businesses.

“These tours ensure Salina stays on the radar of those key people helping businesses to make decisions about relocating or expanding into new locations,” said Rogers. “The better knowledge they have about the assets available in Salina, the more information they can bring back to businesses that have the potential to bring jobs and payroll to the area.”

The group discussed the local labor force, as well as training and educational opportunities available at K-State Salina, the Salina Area Technical College, Kansas Wesleyan University and Brown Mackie College.
