kno40531Dennis C. Knouf, 64, of Salina, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born May 27, 1950, in Hill City, to John Arthur and Mable (Brown) Knouf.

He married Theresa King on Oct. 31, 1982, in Salina. He worked at PMK Steel Services for 30 years.

Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors fishing, hunting and riding hisHarley Davidson motorcycle. He had two special four-legged companions named Maggie and Logan. He also liked playing poker and going to the casino to gamble.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa, of the home; daughters, Jennifer Knouf, of Lake Dallas, Texas, Chasitty Knouf and Mike Logsdon, of Louisville, Ky., and Nicole Knouf and Daniel McHenry, both of Salina; son, Michael Payton, of Salina; two brothers, Jerry Knouf and Kelly Knouf, both of Downs; six grandchildren, Khloe and Kyndall McHenry, Ashley, Britain, Michael and Danielle Payton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Cremation has been chosen. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at Ryan Mortuary in Salina. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to the family and are in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401.

Robert W. Christians, 82, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014. He was born February 12, 1932 in Waldo, KS to Antone B. and Alma (Schwerdtfeger) Christians.

He married Bernita Dell Cochran on July 24, 1955 in Luray KS.

Survivors include four sons, Victor and wife Julia of Hutchinson, Craig and wife Juanita of Derby, Mitch of Salina and Joel and wife Sue of Wichita; brother Dale of Austin TX; twelve grandchildren, Cole and wife Jenny, Benny, Samuel, Rachael, Geovanny, Justin and wife Sandie, Austin and wife Staci, Dylan, Crystal, Ashley, Ryan and Sara, and seven great grandchildren.

No services are planned. The family intends a private gathering. Burial of Robert’s ashes will be in the Ft. Hays Memorial Garden, Hays, KS. Memorials are to the First United Methodist Church, Hays KS. Ryan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
