Robert D. Merryfield, 85, Minneapolis, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Salina Regional Health Center. He was born June 21, 1928 in Minneapolis to Chester and Doris (Hubbard) Merryfield.

He was a 1946 graduate of Minneapolis High School and he served in the United States Navy. Bob was a self-employed electrician. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and he was active at the Golden Wheel Senior Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William D. Merryfield.

Survivors include nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside services with military honors will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 9 at the Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis with Pastor April Wegehaupt officiating. It was Bob’s wishes to be cremated and there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Golden Wheel Senior Center.
