If you happen to drive by Central High today or tomorrow you will see a tent city set up next to the football field. This is the camp site for the nearly 1,000 bicycle riders who are participating in Biking Across Kansas. Biking Across Kansas has been going on for 40 years, bikers from all over the state gather for this one week event to traverse the Kansas landscape by bike. 

This years event started in Elkhart, KS and ends in White Cloud, KS. The distance between these two town is 475 miles. The participants of this event are riding just for fun. Their gear is put in trucks and dropped off at the city they will be staying, this way the riders can enjoy the trip.
