On Wednesday, the contractor for KDOT will begin construction for improvements to the Cloud Street and Ninth Street intersection.

The initial work will be to relocate City-owned utilities crossing Ninth Street south of the intersection. Temporary lane closures will be present; however two-way traffic will be maintained.

The project will align Cloud Street east and west of Ninth Street and add a southbound through lane on Ninth Street north of Cloud Street. The project’s completion date is currently scheduled for August 31st.

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes.
