A suspect in an early Monday morning aggravated battery , was arrested over the noon hour at the Kansas State Parole Office.

24-year-old Ernest Reed was taken into custody for allegedly getting into an argument, and injuring a 40-year-old man between midnight and 12:30am, at a home in the 700 block of N. Third Street.

Captain Mike Sweeney said the victim was hit in the face, and thrown up against a door . The victim was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of an orbital fracture and bruised ribs.
