Introducing Pastor Loren Houltberg, your BANK VI Hero of the Week!

Pastor Loren Houltberg was nominated for the outreach that he has helped put into place at Emmanuel Foursquare Church.

Pastor Houltberg has a heart for the community and desires to serve. Houltberg stated, “ Our purpose is to serve our community by showing them the love of Christ in a tangible way, not to just tell them, but to demonstrate through action.”

For the past ten years Emmanuel has provided a free meal on Saturday nights with an average turnout of 200 people. “We send busses and vans to pick them up and bring them to church for a free meal”, Houltberg stated.

Emmanuel also has a Love Fund that has been in place for the past 35 years. Those in need can come to Emmanuel in search of assistance if they need help paying for necessities like rent or electricity. Emmanuel also has a food pantry that is open every Wednesday. People can come and take sacks of food home at no cost.

Pastor Houltberg stated, “ In my opinion, the church should be the greatest doer of good in the world.”
