A Salina man is arrested early Sunday morning on requested charges of felony fleeing and eluding, aggravated endangerment of a child, reckless driving, driving with a suspended driver’s license, and habitual violator following a brief chase.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney said an officer recognized 25-year old Christopher Crotzer driving a 1999 Infiniti as being wanted on a outstanding warrant.

The officer tried to pull the car over around 1:15am in the 1200 block of W. Crawford, but Crotzer sped up and led the officer on a chase over several residential streets before going into the field north of the Central Mall off of Wayne Avenue.

The chase which reached speeds of 60 miles an hour ended when the car went into a drainage culvert. Crotzer, and a 17-year-old Salina girl that was with him were not injured.
