Salina Police are looking for a known suspect in a forgery case, that cost a woman $5,000. On May 12th the suspect asked 73-year-old Bernice Reidelburger to cash a check for $5,000, because they did not have a checking account. Reidelburger placed the check into her account and gave the suspect $4,750, and was told to keep $250 for helping. The woman later learned that the check was a forgery. The case was reported to police on August 22nd.

A Salina car dealership reports the theft of a pickup from their lot. Between August 8th, and August 14th, a 2014 blue and silver Ford F-150 XLT super-crew 4×4 pickup was taken from the lot of Long MacArthur Ford at 3450 S. 9th. The theft was reported on August 23rd. Value of the pickup is placed at $45,000.

A Salina electrician reports the thefts of tools from a job site on August 22nd. Steven Barnett of Barnett Electric reports to police, a Milwaukee sawzall, and Milwaukee drill were taken from the area of the back porch of a home at 757 Sheridan. The theft occurred between 11:30am-12:45pm, while Barnett was at lunch. Loss is placed at $760.

An Abilene man reports a camera and accessories were taken from his vehicle, while it was parked in the 300 block of S. 4th between 8:30am-12:00pm August 22nd. Taken from the 2009 Jeep Wrangler owned by Timothy Horan was a Canon EOS Rebel T-5i digital cara, a camera bag with SD cards and a Tamron 35-21mm lens, and $2 in change. The drivers window was partially down .Loss is estimated at $1502.
