Juanita E. Bishop, 86, of Salina, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014. She was born the daughter of Thomas and Lorena (Williams) Hasha.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bishop Sr.; son, Jim Bishop; granddaughter, Lori Bishop; great-grandson, Marcus Graham; daughter-in-law, Margaret Bishop; one sister; and one brother.

Juanita was a lifetime member of the VFW. She loved to square dance and play bingo.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Bishop Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jerry Bishop Sr. and wife Elizabeth, of Salina; daughter-in-law, Tracy Bishop, of Salina; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Visitation will begin one hour before service.

Memorials may be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center and may be sent to or left at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

BENNINGTON – Wayne Wetzel, 73, of Bennington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014. He was born May 16, 1941, in Abilene to Clarence and Hazel Wetzel.

He graduated from Abilene High School and took a job as a mechanic for a couple of years. After that, he began his lifelong love of carpentry work. He is best known for his kitchen and bathroom remodels, custom cabinetry and replacement windows.

He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Rodney.

Survivors include: wife, Barbara Wetzel; children, Lori (Brian) Killen, of Lawrence, Doug (Jill) Wetzel, of Los Angeles, Amy Crocker, of Lindsborg, and Chad (Joy) Hendrich, of Salina; grandchildren, Andrew (Becca), Eric, Jacob and Adylaide.

Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Ryan Mortuary.

Memorials may be given in his memory to Ashby House or Salina Rescue Mission.
