Alberta (Jeanne) Robertson, 85, of Salina, died September 1, 2014. She was born January 11, 1929, in Salina, the daughter of Lawrence and Annettie (Miller) Cash. Jeanne was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Salina High School and Brown Mackie College.
Jeanne was formerly director of Kidde Kollege Preschool and worked as office assistant for Dr. Marsh DDS. Jeanne was a 30 year member of Salina TOPS. She was a lifelong member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and Church of the Cross United Methodist where she was an active member of United Methodist Women. On January 11, 1948, Jean married Arlo W. Robertson.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arlo, brothers Lawrence Cash Jr., Bill Cash and Carol Lee Cash, and sister Alice Cash.
Survivors include two sons; Loren (Shirley) and Gary (Annette) of Layton, Utah; sister, Marilyn Johnson of Yuma, Arizona; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Church of the Cross UM, Rev. Michael Eurit, officiating. Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

MaDonna M. “Donna” Phillips peacefully passed away at the age of 81 on Monday, September 1, 2014 at her Salina home surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born April 11, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa. Donna was adopted by Fredrick and Rose Engel from the Anne Whittenmeyer Orphanage when she was three.
Donna graduated from the Evangelical Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. She worked as a registered nurse in Iowa and in Kansas for over 20 years. She also operated Grandmas Daycare in Garden City with a lifelong friend, Nancy Wilkerson, for over 10 years until she retired. Being around children watching them laugh and play was her greatest love. She married William “Bill” Phillips on June 22, 1957 in Marshalltown, Iowa. They moved to Garden City in the early 60s to be close to the Adams family that took them in and made them family, where later Bill and Donna would adopt and raise Mike and Tanya. Donna moved to Salina in 2007 to be with her daughter and family. Donna was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2002; son, Mike Phillips, in 2008 and sister, Virginia Chmela, in 1991. Survivors include her daughter, Tanya Collazo and husband Alex, of Salina; seven grandchildren, Jon, Erika, Joshua, Mallorie, Zachary and Selena all of Salina, and Alysin Phillips, of Garden City; one great-granddaughter, Kinsley, of Salina; one brother, Raymond Frisel, of Nebraska. Donna is also survived by many nieces and nephews she held near to her heart.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eight, Salina Ks with Fr. Frank Coady officiating. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in the Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
Memorials may be made to Sunflower Adult Day Services, 401 W. Iron, Salina, where Donna greatly enjoyed her daily activities and spending time laughing and visiting with her friends.
